Whilst working with long time partner Penguin Books we were tasked with coming up with an idea that could use mobile technology to present existing children's books in an engaging new way. The only caveat was that the original content could not be edited or altered in any way!
Me Books was a response to that brief, where instead of making the book material interactive we developed and patented a new feature that allowed the user to highlight areas of the screen by drawing with their finger and recording their own audio. The result was a personalised audio interactive storybook unique to every family.
We ended up growing Me Books as our own platform containing hundreds of classic stories before it was acquired by a Hong Kong based media company in 2017.
