Before I even started Dumb Games as a dedicated game development service I had a few projects that very much gave me the incentive to do so. One was the Snow Devils game for Shopify, and the other was to create 3 mini games for Alex Becker's web3 gaming community Neo Tokyo.
Over a few months I worked with Alex and his team to design and develop Escape, Evade and Ascend, 3 mini games based on popular arcade formats using a retro 1-bit aesthetic. The black and white design was chosen deliberately to pair nicely with Neo Tokyo's retro-futuristic cyberpunk theme.
